About:
Stephen Davis is Professor of Translational Neuroscience at The University of Melbourne, and Director of the Melbourne Brain Centre at The Royal Melbourne Hospital.  He is Immediate Past-President of the World Stroke Organization (2012-2016), Past-President of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Neurologists (ANZAN) and the Stroke Society of Australasia (SSA). In 2013 he was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) and in 2015 elected as a Fellow in the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences.  His research has focussed on acute therapy for both ischemic stroke and intracerebral hemorrhage, particularly the use of advanced imaging in selection of therapy.  He is a consulting editor for Stroke and serves on editorial boards for the International Journal of Stroke, European Stroke Journal, Journal of Clinical Neuroscience and Journal of Neuroimaging.  He is the Principal Investigator of an NHMRC stroke program grant.  He has co-authored three books, numerous book chapters, and more than 540 peer-reviewed papers.
