About:
Professor Peter Cameron is the Academic Director of the Alfred Emergency and Trauma Centre and National Trauma Research Institute. He is also Head of the Health Service Research Division, School of Public Health, Monash University. As an emergency physician and leader in the field of emergency and trauma systems, he has had a major impact on the development of emergency systems internationally. His research program has led to major improvements in out of hospital cardiac arrest, trauma management, injury prevention, head injury and other emergencies. His previous leadership roles include President of the International Federation for Emergency Medicine, President of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine and Professor/Director of four major Emergency Departments at Hamad Medical Corporation, Doha, Qatar, Royal Melbourne Hospital, Chinese University of Hong Kong and The Geelong Hospital.
