Dr Malcolm Hogg

About:
Dr Hogg, Anaesthetist and Specialist in Pain Medicine, Staff Specialist at Royal Melbourne Hospital, is the immediate past president of the Australian Pain Society and current board member of Painaustralia, a not for profit advocacy organisation.   Dr Hogg supervises a co-ordinated range of interdisciplinary pain services, with specific interests in the optimal management of acute trauma pain to prevent chronicity, and in the care of the older person with chronic musculoskeletal pain.

In addition, Dr Hogg supports the development of educational and clinical links with outer urban and regional services in the North Western region of Victoria, through telehealth, clinical attachments and visiting lectures.  He contributes to education and policy development via roles with the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services, Move (Arthritis and Osteoporosis Victoria), and the Faculty of Pain Medicine, ANZCA.
