About:
Professor Jose Villadangos is an immunologist and cell biologist. His research is focused on understanding how the immune system detects and initiates immune responses against pathogens and cancer. He has published over 120 original research articles, reviews, commentaries and book chapters, and has received grants and awards from the National Health and Medical Research Council, the Australian Research Council, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, The Cancer Research Institute, the Human Frontiers Science Program and the Cancer Council to conduct his research. He is Editor-in-Chief of Molecular Immunology and was the President of the International Congress of Immunology held in Melbourne in 2016, with >4,000 participants.
