Jan is the CEO of Biomedical Research Victoria (BioMedVic), the premier voice for linking medical research to clinical care in Victoria. Representing an internationally-renowned member network of universities, academic hospitals, medical research institutes, CSIRO and other research organisations, BioMedVic’s vision is for Victoria to be a global leader in health and medical research, translation and education - improving health and creating wealth.  BioMedVic enhances the ability of Victoria’s biomedical research community to deliver better health and economic outcomes through advocacy and activities that lead to increased investment, greater efficiency and world-class capability. With extensive experience in commercialisation, business development and research translation, Jan has held leadership roles with Pfizer, CSL, CSIRO and the CRC for Vaccine Technology. Jan is a Non-Executive Director of Apiam Animal Health (ASX:AHX) and AusBiotech, a Collaborative Professor at Osaka University, Principal Fellow in the Department of Microbiology & Immunology at The University of Melbourne, Fellow of the Australian Society for Microbiology and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. She is also the founder of life sciences consultancy ConnectBio and a past or present chair or member of a range of government, industry and academic boards and advisory councils.
