About:
Ian Macreadie served CSIRO for 24 years, and is currently a Professor of Biotechnology at RMIT University.  He is course coordinator for Science Project, Industrial Microbiology and Protein Technologies.  He is also researching drugs that inhibit Alzheimer's Disease and aging processes.  He is also the Editor-in-Chief of the journal of the Australian Society for Microbiology,  Microbiology Australia. He chaired the International Conference on Yeast Genetics and Molecular Biology (Melbourne, 2007) and the International Symposium on Genetics of Industrial Microorganisms (Melbourne, 2010).
